Help 340 adolescent girls learn, lead, protect their bodies, know their rights, and be safe.
Why we care: Around the world, girls suffer from exploitation, curtailed educational and economic opportunities, lack of agency and gender discrimination.
How we’re solving this: Help girls empower themselves by gaining skills to earn decent livelihoods and learn about HIV and reproductive health programming.
We will provide HIV education, reproductive health programming, and schooling to 340 girls in India to give them the opportunity to:
- overcome social and cultural barriers,
- successfully navigate the transition to adulthood,
- and become educated, secure, and financially empowered.
Our project works with rural, tribal, and minority communities to build financial independence for girls and women. We aim to empower individuals, families, and communities by providing basic, non-formal education, life skills training, health and HIV education, and human rights awareness training.
This project provides innovation, learning, and visibility, three crucial components to further growth and recognition of adolescent girls’ untapped potential and basic rights in India.
