The mission of Equilibres & Populations (EquiPop) is to improve the living conditions and status of women, an essential factor in fair and sustainable development. In Francophone sub-Saharan Africa, ÉquiPop has directed more and more of its activity toward benefiting young girls, especially those who receive the least attention in current policies and programs. Starting from the vantage point of its specific expertise in health and sexual and reproductive rights, EquiPop has gradually developed a mission that lays out different areas of intervention, such as health, education, and the economy, and which systematically integrates the gender approach.
