The Coalition To Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST), a Los Angeles-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with international and domestic programming- is the longest running and largest anti slavery organization in the United States and the first to advocate for laws to protect victims. Known for opening the first shelter for trafficked women and girls in the country, CAST is the go-to resource for the media, policy makers, law enforcement, and the philanthropic community for information about modern day slavery, as well as the final lifeline for human beings escaping the dark world of slavery. The mission of CAST is to assist persons trafficked for the purpose of forced labor and slavery-like practices and to work toward ending all instances of such human-rights violations.

In 2004, CAST received the California Association of Nonprofits Innovation Award, and in 2010, CAST was recognized with the United Nations Association Global Citizens Award. In 2012, CAST was recognized by the President at the Clinton Global Initiative and featured in Forbes Magazine. CAST is a Charity Navigator Four-Star Charity.
